The Role

Veeva is hiring a leader to own and innovate Operations for our Global Services organization. Our Professional Services teams are critical in ensuring our customer's products are implemented correctly and provide ongoing value. We focus on managing a productive and profitable business to ensure we drive actual value to our customers' investments in Veeva Solutions and operate positively.

We are looking for a leader with deep expertise in enterprise software services who can provide strategic vision and hands-on direction for a scaling organization. Our ideal candidate will be a true partner to the business and be able to leverage data and intuition to influence the adoption of new practices, processes, and reporting.
 
This role reports to the Global Head of Services. It will be the right-hand person who can innovate and own operations on revenue, utilization, reporting, resource management, and variable compensation to deliver customer and employee success. We require an executive decision-making leader who can think deeply with analytical and data-driven insights and instincts from experience in successfully executing operational efficiencies in Professional Services.
 
We seek a lead to serve all stakeholders and drive accountable improvements. In this role, you must be hands-on with your team and prioritize and execute initiatives to support successful ongoing operations. This role is best for an individual proven to lead the optimization of data, reporting, systems, technologies, and processes at scale to enable productive and profitable growth.

The role is a remote, full-time, permanent role with Veeva. Candidates must live in the United States and be able to meet the operational requirements of a global role. Veeva Systems does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, OPT) for this position.
What You'll Do
  • Build the operational landscape in Professional Services to support growth, including but not limited to revenue forecasting, utilization, resource sharing, reporting, and variable compensation
  • Lead the right strategies to support operational excellence in Services and support Veeva’s strategic initiatives
  • Partnering with Services Leadership change to ensure we make the right decisions that align with our operating model and values
  • Possess the ability to lean in with analytical and logical decision-making by asking the right questions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Own our Professional Services Automation system and its reporting functions and data quality
  • Manage and build appreciated and high-contributing operations and influence without direct authority
  • Develop advanced knowledge of Veeva Services’ policies, processes, data, and systems with the ability to coach the team in those areas
  • Align with FP&A to ensure we are accurate in all financial reporting and forecasting
  • Identify, own, and drive initiatives or projects to scale the business to support
  • Enable teams for success by performing onboarding training, providing support, and guidance on policies and procedures
  • Facilitate compliance with certifications
  • Own Services events to develop a community of experts and facilitate engagement
  • Provide insights on business KPIs that ensure accurate forecasting and decision-making
  • Ensure smooth operations and remove roadblocks for routine operations
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Software Services
  • 5+ years of focused experience in Professional Services leadership at a senior level in Enterprise Software
  • 5+ years of experience in people management responsibilities, a focus on employee success from hiring, onboarding, training, developing, and building a robust team environment
  • Proven ability to lead at scale and drive change without direct influence to engage senior leadership to drive forward critical initiatives
  • Technical Leadership - advanced capabilities with data reporting tools and systems to ensure the accuracy of reporting
  • Based in the United States and able to meet the operational requirements of a global role

Compensation
  • Base pay: $180,000 - $280,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
