The Role

Veeva Systems is looking for driven, self-motivated Consultants with exposure to advising and implementing software solutions to help customers optimize their clinical operations in the cloud. 
 
Veeva Vault Clinical Suite is the only unified suite of applications (eTMF, CTMS, SSU, Payments) for clinical trial management from site selection to study archival, completely adapted for Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Research Organizations, and Diagnostics Companies of all sizes.
 
As a key member of our China Professional Services team, you will work side-by-side with customers and our solution architects to implement Vault Clinical Suite. In this role, you will lead the overall delivery of Vault Clinical Suite for our customers. You will define and drive business processes, lead the project team in delivering the solution, and guide our customers throughout the implementation programs. 

As a Consultant, you will actively collaborate across Veeva, contributing ideas, enhancing our delivery model, and working closely with our product management team to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

What You'll Do
  • Participate in projects at life sciences or biotech companies designing and deploying Vault Clinical systems
  • Rapidly configure and implement the Vault Clinical suite (Vault eTMF, Vault CTMS, and Payments), which is used to manage clinical processes and content in the cloud
  • Lead requirements workshops: design, prototype, configure, and document content management and/or data solutions
  • Project management, including resource planning, leading and motivating a cross-functional team, and project tracking and forecasting
  • Ensure customer success from beginning to end of the engagement life cycle
  • Mentor project team and junior consultants
  • Assist presales/sales teams in defining scope, cost, and estimations
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
  • 5+ years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years in either IT consulting / professional services environment or in a System Administration / IT Business Partner role for life sciences Clinical operations departments
  • Relevant knowledge of Drug Clinical Operations processes and regulations
  • Experience with content and/or data management systems with the ability to comprehend and translate business requirements and create corresponding solution designs
  • Demonstrated work history in stakeholder management, critical thinking skills, and ability to conduct complex communications in a wide variety of settings and audiences
  • Ability to travel 25-50% within China
  • Candidate must be based in Shanghai and have the legal right to work
Nice to Have
  • Direct experience with systems such as regulated systems or data-driven applications such as Veeva Vault solutions, Oracle Siebel, goBalto, BioClinica CTMS, Medidata Rave CTMS/Strategic Monitoring, Parexel IMPACT, Bio-Optronics Clinical Conductor, PhlexEView, Trial Interactive, DrugDev Site Selection, and Payments, WingSpan eTMF and SiteZONE, Complion, Florence eBinders, Forte Oncore, and eReg, NextDocs, Documentum, SharePoint or other technologies used in the management of clinical studies
  • Consulting experience
  • Project Management skills and PMP certification are a plus
  • Life Science, computer science, biochemical and mechanical engineers, or related degree
  • SaaS/Cloud experience
