The Role

This is a top software engineer role in our Global IT organization. It is the culmination of all your experience, and working on an internal CRM product means it is critical to our company's success.
 
Your impact as a seasoned technical problem-solver will mean you will be focused on building software that can not only scale as our business continues to grow but also evolve with new features and capabilities. Because this senior role is independent, you will have equal influence to drive the direction of the build, advise IT leadership, and mentor our development team.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with Business Analysis, Functional Architects and Development team members on technical design and problem solving to come up with compelling solutions to problems.
  • Own all aspects of implementation for features from design to development, deployment to production, and support and maintenance.
  • Quickly break down complex problems into potential solutions, accounting for knowns and unknowns, in order to get to solid resolutions faster.
  • Passion to mentor and guide engineers at all levels
  • Define, evangelize and mentor on best practices and coding standards.
  • Extensive experience reviewing code engineers of all levels. 
  • Manage a team of 3-5 Developers and Analysts
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Mathematics or Computer Science/Applications or a similar field
  • 12+ years of progressing software development experience
  • Extensive experience in object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Proven track record of building scalable systems and functionality
  • Hands-on development experience with current open source tools and technologies (Java, Spring, MySQL, Hibernate, Maven, GitLab, Jenkins, AspectJ, Messaging, Solr, Lucene, Postman, IntelliJ sIDEA)
  • Motivation and flexibility to roll up your sleeves and work hard (and have fun) in a fast-moving environment
  • We are looking for strong mentors with a proven record of making your team better
Nice to Have
  • Master's in software engineering/computer science
  • Experience with Veeva Vault SDK
  • Experience building CRM software
