The Role

Veeva's Business Consulting Group is a key growth area for Veeva. It offers a differentiated consulting service in Life Sciences with a compelling value proposition - building on Veeva's position as the digital partner of choice for 85% of the top 20 Pharmaceutical companies. The Business Consulting team is focused on supporting our customers' commercial strategies through the design and delivery of solutions for the core business issues faced by today's field organizations.

Veeva is seeking a Business Consulting Lead to lead the organization for China. As the leader of the China Business Consulting practice, you will hire talents and manage the team and offerings for Veeva's commercial life sciences customers. Your role will involve planning, organizing, and tracking all aspects of delivery, sales, and solutions within the China market.

The Business Consulting Team will deliver demonstrable and sustainable value at the forefront of digital and commercial innovation for our customers by identifying the source of the business issues, develop a structured approach to deliver solutions, and do so in a highly collaborative manner – ultimately building critical customer relationships within the Commercial Business of our customers.
What You'll Do
  • Hiring and Managing the right team that brings a diversity of skills, thinking, and innovation
  • Build the strategy close to China SFA Market
  • Provide advisory to the Life Sciences industry in areas of commercial strategy, content strategy, commercial analytics, and digital engagement
  • Understand the core of the business issues faced by customers and develop a structured approach to solve the problem. Doing so in a highly collaborative manner - ultimately building trust along the way
  • Responsible for client delivery and relationship management, in addition to solution development and oversight of project delivery
  • Ensure Veeva strengthens its position with Business leaders through winning and delivering advisory support
  • Bring together the company’s valuable assets and do this by partnering closely with peers in other teams i.e. Professional Service, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Strategy, Product, etc.
  • Remaining current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of Life Sciences industry experience, with specialized experience in Commercial Strategy, Content Strategy, Commercial Analytics, and Digital Engagement
  • 7+ years experience in Management Consulting, including 3+ years as a lead for a consulting organization with experience in Life Sciences
  • Direct and recent experience running enterprise operations, overseeing P&L for a consulting organization
  • Demonstrates deep relationships and is well-networked within the local market (Senior Director to C-Suite)
  • Strong team leadership skills, ability to manage client relationships, and engagement economics
  • Ability to balance client delivery and relationship management with solution development/oversight
  • Experience driving digital transformation, data analytics, and performance improvement
  • Experience in Strategy formulation and demonstrated experience in recruiting a team and building a Management Consulting practice in China
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to manage, motivate, and drive teams to perform to a high standard of excellence
  • Strong communication and time management skills, ability to deliver Executive-level presentations
  • Native/Fluent Chinese speaker with good written and verbal English communication skills
