The Role

As part of our regional expansion in our Veeva QualityOne business, Veeva is currently looking for a Solution Consultant who has a passion for helping our customers in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, and Food & Beverage industries, achieve their business vision for excellence in Quality Management.

As a member of the Solution Consulting team, you will be responsible for working with our Account Partners to understand customers’ business challenges and needs, and to provide solution expertise including value-based product demonstrations of the Veeva Quality application suite. You will be responsible for the 'technical win' by articulating the benefits of an end-to-end Quality solution, built on an enterprise-class multi-tenant cloud platform.

Your contribution will also be critical in developing a technical sales strategy to support the Veeva Consumer Products team, both in Japan and the wider Asia region, as we focus on growing our market share in these new industries.

At Veeva, we offer excellent opportunities for our people to capitalize on their skills and grow in a fast-paced, unique and exceptional work environment.
What You'll Do
  • Identify customer’s challenges and objectives and demonstrate solutions that address these requirements and bring business value to the organization
  • Communicate product knowledge and industry expertise to customers
  • Support the sales team throughout the sales cycle for all product- and technology-related inquiries
  • Assist the sales support team to prepare compelling, professional content for RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFI (Request for Information) responses for prospective clients
  • Support marketing initiatives (Website, collaterals, webinar, tradeshow, or others) and represent the company at key events, including public speaking and presentations
  • Support product localization by checking product labels in Japanese and/or testing if needed and feedback to global product team
Requirements
  • You will ideally have 7+ years working for a SaaS Enterprise Software company, in a Solution Consulting or equivalent position (Pre-sales/Sales Engineering), but this could also be in a related role such as Professional Services, Product Management, or Consultancy
  • You may have experience in or working with Quality Management functions at Fast Moving Consumer Goods/Food & Beverage companies or Life Science industry, so you’re able to understand the complex business processes that our customers operate
  • The ability to communicate clearly with clients and prospects is a must – particularly in the area of solution functionality. Also critical is the ability to be self-reliant, and to be able to work remotely or in a hybrid mode, often with minimal input from others in the team, and be able to manage and prioritize complex tasks across a number of customers and prospects
  • You may be asked to assist our Services team with putting together a comprehensive project proposal including estimates, methodology, and best practices, so some experience in this area would be a plus
  • This role will primarily be responsible for customers and prospects in Japan hence you should be highly proficient in spoken and written Japanese. Spoken and written English would be highly desirable

At Veeva, we believe in giving back. Veeva’s support for charitable causes is entirely employee driven because we think giving is personal and should be directed by the individual. With our 1% Veeva Giving program, each employee receives an amount equivalent to 1% of their base salary annually to support the non-profit(s) of their choice. We don’t dictate favored corporate causes or ask employees to donate to specific non-profits. We never support a charitable cause in exchange for commercial advantage or preferential treatment.

Veeva’s core values — do the right thing, customer success, employee success, and speed — guide our decision making and define our culture. Doing the right thing means that we are concerned about more than just financial success and return to shareholders. Our equity program is designed to enable the vast majority of our employees to participate. Our unique approach to awarding equity grants allows our employees to be shareholders so they can benefit financially in the company’s growth.

Veeva has taken a strong stance against the use of non-compete agreements that can limit employee opportunities. We do not require our employees to sign non-compete agreements, and we have taken legal action to fight the unfair use of these agreements by other companies because we believe such agreements limit an employee’s fundamental right to work where they choose. We believe in our people and want them to be successful here at Veeva or wherever their careers take them.
